Meet Jen

Jen has been teaching group fitness for 30 years! From Indiana, she has her BS degrees from EMU in Psychology and Child Development. Jen is a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer with many specialized certifications including AFAA, PIYO, Pilates Physical Mind, Yoga Essentials and Flexible Strength, Mad Dogg Spinning, Power Pacing, Les Mills RPM and Les Mills Body Attack. She is also Red Cross certified in First Aid, CPR and AED.


She has a passion for coaching group fitness to the individual and creating innovative and challenging free-style programming.  Her energy and love for fitness is contagious.    

When she is not in the studio, she enjoys hiking, running/ walking with friends, spending time with her four children and eating candy! 


Meet Darren

Darren has been in the fitness industry teaching for 28 years!  Born and raised in NC his entire life, he has a BA Degree in Business Administration from Lenoir Rhyne University.  Darren is certified in Group Exercise from AFAA and ACE, and holds his personal training certification with NASM.  He also has his First Aid, CPR and AED certification with AHA.   In addition, he has certifications with Mad Dogg Spinning and Les Mills BodyAttack, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, BodyStep, BodyPump and CxWorx.  He was a National Trainer and Presenter with Les Mills and conducted Masterclasses, Module Trainings and Up-Skill Sessions at Quarterly Workshops and SCW Mania events.  Darren competed in the National Aerobic Championships placing 3rd nationally in Mixed Pairs, as well as, winning Gold in the Men’s Individual event.


Darren loves teaching and believes that Exercise is Medicine!  He leads with his heart, smiles through the pain and strives to make every class he teaches an amazing experience.  When he’s not with his fitness friends, he can be found keeping up with his two children and satisfying his sweet “teeth” baking in the kitchen!
